The mountain range separates the Sahara Desert from the Mediterranean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean; stretching around 2,500 km through Morocco, Algeria and Tunisia. It is home to Amazeigh communities with a rich and ancient culture, and, world class athletes, who were born and raised at altitude or in the harsh conditions of the desert.
