With a short flight from Europe, elevation reaching up to 2,100m, rolling hills and cedar forests and a relaxed Amazigh mountain culture, we are excited to offer Ifrane as a word-class altitude training hub.

Those attending will be staying in traditional mountain accommodation and have the chance to train alongside Moroccan athletes. The accomodation Wifi is strong, the atmosphere is relaxed, and therefore the opportuntiy to work remotely is welcome.

What is a Haraka Baraka altitude training camp?

A two week long training camp in April & March gives those who wish to benefit from altitude training, whilst living in a the remote mountain community of Ifrane. With strong wifi, a one hour time difference, and an accomodation that caters to digital nomads, participants have the possibilty to work remotely during their stay.

The camp is aimed at giving you the space as an athlete to focus and enjoy on your training. The price includes all airport transfers, accomomodation and meals, as well as, transportation to the training locations, and access to local runners who are able to act as pacers.

Why Ifrane?

The region is infamous for its ski resorts and stunning scenery, and is the chosen location for the Moroccan athletes to live and train at altitude. Whilst still being relatively unkown to athletes in Europe, Ifrane has been an altitude training hub for Morocco’s athletes (inc. Olympic gold medalists Hitcham El Guerrouj & Soufiane El Bakkali) for decades. Also with cooler weather than the rest of Morocco, it allows for training nearly all-year round without being insufrable heat.

What training facilities are present?

Ifrane city and the track is situated at 1,700m elevation and the sorrounding countryside reaches up to 2,100m. The track boasts elite training facilities; like the 400m track, pool and gym, and leaving the city you have the opportuntiy to enjoy the endless mountain trails, quite roads & 4x4 tracks, as well as a 2km plateau loop (1,900m), 7.5km lake loop (1,700m), and the highest mountain trail in the region at Habri ski resort (2,100m).

  • Ifrane is infamous for its snow and skiing opportunities during the winter. This is a result of its altitude (1700-2000m) which means it is cooler than the rest of Morocco.

    Autumn or Spring is a great time to be running. Expect dry weather with clear skies.

    Temperatures will be around 20 to 24 degrees during the day with 8 to 10 degrees at night.
