Why Ifrane?
The region is infamous for its ski resorts and stunning scenery, and is the chosen location for the Moroccan athletes to live and train at altitude. Whilst still being relatively unkown to athletes in Europe, Ifrane has been an altitude training hub for Morocco’s athletes (inc. Olympic gold medalists Hitcham El Guerrouj & Soufiane El Bakkali) for decades. Also with cooler weather than the rest of Morocco, it allows for training nearly all-year round without being insufrable heat.
